Lidl is promising customers a Thanksgiving meal that’ll cost them under $5 per person, the company announced this week.
The 21-item list will feed 10 people and go for $45 this year. That’s less than $4.50 per person, a Lidl spokesperson confirmed to USA TODAY this week. The items will be on sale until Nov. 27.
According to the grocery store, this year’s Thanksgiving list includes a Shady Brook Farms Frozen Whole Turkey, fresh yellow onions, russet potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, and Hawaiian Sweet Rolls.
“This is the lowest Lidl U.S. has ever sold this number of items for a Thanksgiving dinner,” Lidl said in a statement Wednesday. “It’s priced less than national competitors and features nearly double the number of items.”
According to the company, the 2023 list included 12 Thanksgiving necessities for less than $30.
